Find Expert Postpartum Depression Treatment in Kansas
Specialized Care for New Mothers
The journey into motherhood can be filled with unexpected challenges, including feelings that don't match what you thought you "should" feel. If you're feeling overwhelmed, sad, or disconnected, know that this is not your fault, and with the right support, things can get better.
At Pleasant Place Psychiatry, our specialized postpartum depression care is designed just for you.

Identifying Postpartum Depression Symptoms
When to seek professional postpartum depression treatment
It's crucial to distinguish between temporary baby blues and a condition that requires professional care. While baby blues fade, postpartum depression symptoms are more intense and persistent, interfering with your ability to function and care for your baby.
If you are experiencing several of the following for more than two weeks, it's time to reach out for help:
Overwhelming sadness
Intense irritability
Withdrawal from family and friends
Difficulty bonding with your baby
Changes in appetite or sleep patterns
Severe fatigue or loss of energy
Feelings of worthlessness, shame, or guilt
Thoughts of harming yourself or your baby

Meet Your Licensed and Trusted Mental Healthcare Provider
My name is Dr. Ediomi Enebong Oduwole DNP, PMHNP-BC, and I am a provider at Pleasant Place Psychiatry.
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am passionate about helping individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.
I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder,PTSD, trauma-related conditions, sleep disorders, and other mood-related challenges. I also have experience supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and perinatal mental health concerns.
I understand that mental health challenges can affect every area of life: work, relationships, parenting, motivation, confidence, and overall well-being. Many people silently carry emotional burdens while trying to appear "fine" on the outside. My goal is to create a space where you no longer have to navigate those struggles alone.
My approach to care is collaborative, personalized, and patient-centered. I believe treatment should never feel rushed or one-sided. I take time to truly listen, understand your concerns, and help you feel informed about your diagnosis, treatment options, and goals. Together, we create a plan tailored to your unique needs, lifestyle, and experiences.
At Pleasant Place Psychiatry, I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health care. Healing looks different for everyone, which is why I focus on individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, supportive therapy, education, and lifestyle-focused strategies that support long-term wellness.
Above all, I strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable being open about what they are experiencing. Seeking help is a courageous step, and it is truly an honor to walk alongside my patients as they work toward healing, stability, and becoming healthier, more fulfilled versions of themselves.
